Appreciate

I feel I should apologize,
Ever since we made ties,
I never looked through another's eyes,
It was unwise.
Now I see I should appreciate,
Even if it was not our fate,
So openly she communicates,
That she loves you.

Misleading

The woman sat with her back towards the window, reading the daily newspaper. As the door to the skytrain opened, she flipped the page to a new section. A man walked in, his hair scraggy and his clothes torn. He was of no home, it was not hard to see. He sat perpendicular to the woman, grabbing a stray newspaper from the floor to read. The doors to the train closed, and it continued on its set path. It stopped at its next destination, people getting off and on, and thean and woman continued to read their papers. The train stopped one more time, and then went on it's way to the last stop. The woman looked up, and turned to the man. She asked the time and the next stop. He replied, and she nodded once. The train came to a halt, and they both departed, the man slightly ahead of the woman. He held back a moment then took the woman's hand, and together they walked down the tunnel.
